Dawn started the oo koo lay lay group in our Pelican Preserve community in 2019. The group has grown to over 80 members who play every Wednesday morning.

On World Ukulele Day, February 2, 2022, the group held a concert at our community amphitheater. A couple of hundred people attended the concert and they all had a great time.

The Naples Daily News came to the show and wrote a nice story on the concert. Check out the story here.

On April 8, 2022, the group was featured on the local NBC station on a Story 2 Share segment. Dawn was interviewed for the piece and she talks about why she started playing the ukulele.
